Scott | Kroner PLC - History of the Law Firm

Scott Kroner PLC, a Charlottesville, Virginia, law firm, traces its beginnings to April, 1951, when C. Armonde Paxson, who had been in practice in Charlottesville since his graduation from law school in 1930, formed the firm of Paxson, Marshall & Smith.

The firm has evolved and expanded to include a growing and diverse client base. Now named Scott Kroner, PLC, in recognition of principal members W. Stephen Scott and Robert J. Kroner, our firm is regularly recognized as one of the premier firms in the region. Our lawyers offer wide ranging expertise and experiences, drawing on their work as corporate executives, national firm lawyers, judicial law clerks, and active participants in government and community organizations. We understand that people have choices in terms of legal services, and we are pleased to offer great value to our clients.
